At 1 o'clock of mid night we reached at BADC Tangail. Hasan Bhai (AD of BADC Tangail) was really waiting with his colligue and they showed us a huge room inside the BADC compound. I asked my team to be a bit fresh as they were exhausted as well as me. Also I went with Hasan Bhai to get some food for them as we did not eat anything at road. The whole next day we took rest at BADC and at evening our team left BADC for the DC office. The DC was busy at a function of Football tournament so we went to his house to talk to the CA of the DC. CA of his residence advised us to meet NDC of the district and assured us that he is the one who can manage that paper of DC sir. We went to his house, he was busy to pack the goods of his households. He told us that toady was his last official day at Tangail but soon he helped us to get our paper. All these took lots of time and it was 7 o'clock with a very bad weather forming a storm from a rain. For the security of our team we decided to stay at Tangail and we went to search a Hotel. After a little more time we choose Hotel Silicon as a safe Hotel. It was looking very neat and clean with some staffs of good behaviour. Also it was a new Hotel. After booking the room I went to roam in the town. Very early in the morning we woke up and packed a few things we opened last night. By the time my partners were getting ready I went to the roof of Silicon Hotel. Climb to top of a telephone Antenna and shoot four pictures of the town. The sun was only trying to rise and there was not enough light at all four corners of the sky. We get down to the road and shoot another pic of Angela, Dilip & Rana. We start cycling towards Shirajganj. We stopped at the end of bypass road of Tangail town to have our breakfast. I charged the batteries of my digital camera to the neighbouring petrol pump as last night all the electric points were busy to charge our cell phones. After breakfast we start paddling again. When Elenga Resort came to my left side I stopped for a few second. Then we saw the Jamuna Bridge. Just before we will cross the final guard-room before the toll plaza a guard came out from a room and asked us to hault. He told us it that it is forbidden to cross the Jamuna Multi-purpose Bridge (JMB) by cycle. We describe our purpose and ask him what he can do about it. Watching our papers he advised us to talk to their Security Chief at their Head Office "Marga Net". He point his finger to show the office and we went there. Again after a short presentation they asked us to wait for some moments. We waited there took a group pic and Angela took another pic with the guards on duty. Some moments later they told us that there is no way we can cross the bridge by cycles. We must use engine vehicle to cross it but they are ready to drop us to the other side of the bridge by their vehicles. We agreed to them and went to another office of them and there they pick our cycle in one of their jeep. Angela and Rana sat with the driver to get a good view while I sat at back of the car with dilip to see our cycles are safe. Our car starts and another followed with a distance. I took a picture of the man in toll-plaza while crossing it and took another pic of Dilip when we were running very fast. Reaching at the middle of the bridge the cars stopped and asked to if we would like to take pictures standing in middle of those cars. But we only tastes some breeze there as the charge of the batteries was finished by then. |
