We reached at Satkhira town just after Magrib. First we went to the Medical College of Satkhira as Angela and Rana were not feeling ok. Angela had a slight fever and Rana was facing some problem with his stomach. They faced doctor with the help of Dilip and I phone to one of the address we got from Jessore. First I phone to Zia (AD of BADC) but he was not receiving the phone. Then to some other person and I got connection this time. After giving our identity I asked if they could arrange any accommodation and they assured me for one person. Dilip told me to send Angela over there as she might need some assistance which could not be managed at Governmental accommodation. After prescribing some general medicines doctors release Angela and Rana. They asked Rana to be a bit careful on foods of the road. I asked them to take a rest and took Dilip with me to the residence of DC. He was in the club which was very close to his house. This District Officers Club was a complex previously used as a Jail. We waited at the gate and a man went inside with our papers. Soon a Magistrate came up and wanted to know about our tours. He took us to the residence of the DC and served huge foods while asking about the accommodation facilities. First I denied him upon thinking about Zia. But he asked me to phone Zia again and again. I tried phoning but there was no response. So, I agreed with him about staying at Circuit House. He smiled and phone to Circuit House about us. He gave us the paper but there was no seal of DC only signature. He phoned a few people for the seal but failed. Later he asked us to come back at anytime of morning to collect the seal from CA of DC. We left that place and went to the Medical. We saw a cycle garage for the first time in our tour. We took a few photo. We went to that house to talk to them. They welcomed us warmly and within a few minutes they told us that they have prepared our supper. We ate there and saw the room they are providing for Angela. Then we left Angela and went to the Circuit House. Staffs of the Circuit House showed us the room for us and we spend the night easily. At morning Dilip went to that house where Angela was and I went to Local BADC office to get news of ZIA. There I met Zia and his senior official. We took a few photo and went to that house. Angela and Dilip finished their breakfast and we also took the breakfast there. Soon we start paddling our cycles for Khulna which was not so far. Angela was not feeling very good. We set a target to reach Bagerhat by late night. So I told Dilip to come with Angela while took Rana paddle faster for Khulna. Thus we were making distance with Angela and Dilip. Sometime of noon we reached at the border of Satkhira-Khulna. |
