Nearly at eleven o'clock we entered at Narayanganj border and heading for DC Office. Dilip and Angela was cycling faster while Rana kept me giving company. I was falling frequently and later on I ordered Rana to leave me and join the them to be secured. I knew that I would survive somehow so I was worried about them than me. Soon after Rana left me a parts of my cycle just broke and it was controlling the turning of my cycle. There was no mechanic nearby and I had no credit in my phone to call them. After a long walk I saw a mechanic and he solved the problem of my cycle by replacing the accessories and soon I was able to buy a phone card and call my team. They told me that they are way ahead of mine and almost reached the Narayanganj town. I asked them to sit somewhere at open space by the left side of the road and wait for me. It was another hour for me to catch them. But we found that we have not brought official prayer to get a message of DC. It was also the time to receive lots of phone call from Dhaka. Soon we enter to a road-side restaurant to have our lunch. Then I told the team to explore Narayanganj while I will prepare the documents to face DC. After two hours or so I phoned them to meet me at DC office. We met and I went upstair to meet him. I talked to N.D.C and waiting for a suitable time to meet DC as he was busy attending a meeting. When we met DC he heard our request and told us to get that message of District from ADC(General). We met him and took the message. Then before leaving we took two pic and went out for the pressclub. But the pressclub was empty and so we roam around the town to find a suitable hotel. The hotels where we got room either it was too high in rent or had very bad environment to pass the night. There was some kind of election for which lots of people from other districts came to take part in the election. This is why there was a temporary crisis of hotel all over the town. It was nearly two hours after Magrib we got the room. We found that there was lots of Cockroach in the Toilet and Mosquitoes in the room. When we asked the hotelier he said that go and use the toilet cockroach will hide somewhere and we will not be able to find them after one hour. About the mosquito they said they will supply two coil late at night. So we decided that we will only wash our face and roam around this part of Narayanganj. Before we left the room I buy some Coil for mosquito some medicine for cockroaches and a rubbing balm for Angela & Dilip (They were feeling some pain in leg and back and had a headech). So, we used the medicine to kill cockroaches and burn some coil before exploring the town. But soon Angela wanted to return the hotel to take rest and it was my duty to buy foods for our supper. So, I was there in the hotel spending one hour. There was not enough items in the restaurant to choose. We ate we went to sleep hoping everything will be okay for us whatever is waiting for us. We woke up a bit early and still Dilip body is very hot from fever. We become confused about what our next step. We thought may be we should hire a taxi where we will also tie his cycle and we will phone to his house about receiving him again we were also thinking that one of us should accompany him to his house and rest of us should wait in this hotel so that we can start together. Suddenly Dilip left his bed and said he was listening to our conversation and he will not stop his tour and he will do his best to demolish our cycle rather make our plan successful. So we decided that we will give him a chance like we will ride slowly for him and one single mistake from him will proove him unable to continue his tour and then he will go back to Dhaka. He agreed and started to dress-up to ride in the bike. We left the hotel and started slowly. After some time we came to a turning from where Dhaka is at left and we took right turn after having some dry food. Later we cross the bridge and took left turn to reach Narshingdi. I don't know the name of those places but still I can recall those road. The next big turn we took was right and we saw lots of Rickshaw-makers and we took some mobil for our cycles. And somehow we saw Dilip was recovering fast and there is no sign of fever in him. Then I asked Dilip-Angela to paddle faster so that they can go and find the Narshingdi District Sports Council. Because Masum Bhai told us to meet the General Secretary of that council. So Dilip-Angela was paddling faster and Rana was accompanying me as I was falling down regularly. Then we took a good breakfast (Me & Rana) and while cycling we found Dilip & Angela is taking rest under a tree. First thing came upon my mind was Dilip is having his fever and this is a good chance for me to send him back. But it was the opposite story. It was Angela who is feeling exhausted and she really needs some rest. Suddenly I was in a doubt that if I have taken the right decision to take them with me or not. I imagine that after a few hours or may be next day Rana will fall down and this thing will be a tradition. I went to the opposite side of the road to bring some water and there I saw Daily Janakantha. In the Sports page they published our news. We were so glad to see our names in the newspaper. We took a rest about 45 minutes over there and later on sometime we enter the border of Narshingdi. |
