I saw a plenty of Tobacco Field after entering the Lalmonirhat District. I enter at one of the field beside the raod and took picture. I took a lot more picture while cycling till 11 o'clock when I reached the town. Reaching there I contact Mr. Suzon (District Representative of Prothom Alo) by phone. He asked me to North Bengal Guest nearby to Mogla hat Rail Crossing. There I met him and talked about various things of the district and fourced me to have snacks. He took notes of my tour and asked me to stay for another day. He told me that it would be unwise for me if I will leave Lalmonirhat District without meeting Mr. Khitish, a cyclist of this district. He knows a lots of trix with cycle and toured a lot districts of Bangladesh. Suzon bhai also told me to meet Mr. Sabuz who has published CD on Khitish Bhai and very creative-minded person. I was interested to meet him. I took the address of Khitish Bhai's residence and went there in Aditmari Upazila. Khitish Bhai was not at his house and I met her wife. She told me that Khitish Bhai teaches in a school. After finishing this job he goes to attend another work everyday. Finishing that one finally he returns to his house at late evening. So, I return to the town and reached the DC office of Lalmonirhat District at 2 o'clock. There I met the CA of DC. I told him everything and went to say my prayer. Upon returning from prayer had to wait a lot more. He comes and goes out but I was unable to meet him anyhow. Later CA send me to meet ADC (General) to talk. After talking to him I had to wait again. After 5 o'clock ADC (General) said OK and DC has signed the letter. Then I phone to Suzon Bhai and told me that he is in a shop of photocopier at Thana Road. When I was there I did not find him. I phoned him and he said that he is on the way to meet me very soon. Actually, he was not there when I phoned him. Instead he thought that he would reach at that shop before I will. So, he came very soon and we went to a restaurant to have some food as lunch. Then I finished the prayer of Asor and Magrib at a mosque nearby. Then Suzon Bhai told me that After that we wait for Mr. Sabuz as he said to Suzon Bhai that he wants to see me. I was thinking to go to Rangpur by moon-light as it was not far away and specially NDC of this district has confirmed the NDC of Rangpur that I will pass my night there. But after meeting Sabuz Bhai, I had to change my decision. Not only he just published a CD but also he was the founder of the "Lalmonirhat District Museum". I got interests to know more about him and his museum. I find him very different & developed than other people around him. I thought I would not leave this district without dropping at his museum. So, I start to talk to Sabuz bhai about various things. Today was one of the most special day as I met him. He asked me to be their guest for that night. They booked the room no 109 of Hotel Masud. After talking a lot with him we went to the restaurant. Eating supper Suzon bhai came to take Sabuz bhai. Saying them goodbye I returned to the hotel. There I start to record diary before dark. Woke up very early in the morning and left the hotel before 7 o'clock by taking a pic at front of hotel. Cycled towards the residence of Khitish Bhai and reached there within 40 minutes. I caught him working on field and we talked about lots of things for next 100 minutes. He showed me his works, his papers and told me about his dreams. I took few photos there. Before 9:30 AM we left his house for Lalmonirhat town as he had some works over there and I wanted to visit the residence of Sabuz Bhai. We deatched at town and I reached at "Sabuz Neer" (The residence of Sabuz Bhai and the temporary office of "District Museum, Lalmonirhat") within 10:30 AM. Sabuz Bhai was not there. Getting my phone he came soon and showed me his museum and describe stories behind collecting them. Later he introduced me with one of his sposnsor Mr. Montu. Together we took photos of those and before leaving Montu Bhai gave me an amount to spend on the way. At 12:40 PM I said goodbye to them and start cycling for next district. I reached Mostofir Hat Mor and said my prayers at a mosque. Over here I talked to Mamun Bhai and got message from Masum Bhai that Ittefaq published my news at it. Then I left this place at 2:40 PM and soon came to the end of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila. It was also the end of the district and the beginning of Tista Bridge (A gateway of Rangpur District). I took a few pic on the way. I could not cross the bridge as soon as I reached there because there was a signal of Train coming from the Rangpur End. This Tista Bridge was actually a rail bridge which is used by other vehicles too when there is no signal of trains. So, I wait there with lot other vehicles and took some photo. The train came and passed us. As it was a Single-lane bridge so I had to wait a lot more after the train gone. The vehicles from the Rangpur end got their green signal first and after they crossed us the vehicles from lalmonirhat start to move. I took a few photo and video while crossing this bridge. |
