After entering the Joupurhat District I took a pic under the welcome signboard. Within 50 minutes I reached at a place of where I saw huge stocks of "Kachur Loti" (One type of vegetable). They were gathered here for targeting the wholesale markets of countrywide. I took a pic and continued cycling. Again I stopped at a local library called "BRAC-Khasbaguri Library" at Panchbibi Upazila. I sat at the library to have some looks at the newspaper. I signed the guestbook of the library and start soon by taking a picture. Before 11:30 AM I reached the town of Joypurhat and I took a picture at the "Zero Point". Then I searched the phone number of district representative for Prothom Alo. I searched for it at the local newspaper stand. Mr. Babu who was leader of local hawker agent gave me the number. When I phoned him he told me that he is currently at the court busy for collecting some news. Then I went to the DC office by stopping for some minutes at circuit house. I stopped there just to use the fresh room. After reaching the office I heard that DC was not there. The CA of DC was very miuch co-operative showed interests to help me quickest. When the DC came, I met him. He asked his staffs to prepare a letter for me. Then I went to the computer room of them and there I met a lot other staffs. Among them I can remember names of Mr. Nazrul Bhai who was Nazir(Office Assistant) and Mr. Tipu Sultan (Staffs of Nezarat Department who composed my letter). Not only he just prepare the letter of DC he also prepare a press-release of my tour so that I can give it to the reporters. The DC started his lunch and so I enter the canteen of DC office to finish mine. Nazrul Bhai paid my bill ignoring other staff. By this time, court has started and so DC sir become busy and I had to wait much more. So, I contact Asad Bhai (reporter of Prothom Alo) by phone and met him at downstair, he was accompanied with Saju Bhai who was district representative of "Daily Manavzamin". I gave them a copy of my press-release and request them to supply a copy of it to other reporters. I got the letter at 3:30 PM. Then I took pic with a lot staffs of DC office and came down. Here I met the bodyguard of DC Mr. Zohurul and his driver. To keep their request I had to take tea with them. When I was ready to leave thm they informed me that the three pedestrian touring Bangladesh is currently staying at the circuit house. So, I went there to meet them at room number 5 & 6. They were unable to recognise me at first considering me as one of their fan. Later when they understood who I was they were very happy and shouting as we meet. Rubel Rocky and Tutul they were. I spend my time with them till 7 PM. Then we came out and went to meet Mr. Ratan at the office of "Daily Shamokal" at Shibmandir Market. He was the district representative of Shamokal and I Asad Bhai of Prothom Alo was also there. I gave some picture of mine at this district in the PC of Ratan Bhai. They asked me if I am staying at circuit house or hotel tonight. I asked them to keep my cycle as I had planned to go to Dhaka to bring some money. They agreed and kept it. Then I went to the Rail Station to know it's timetable. I met Mr. Mansoor there, he was a very nice man and gave me enough time too. After talking to him I went back to circuit house to meet those tourists. Rubel was not there. So I talked to them and left them for the Rail station. At late night of Thursday I sit at the train for Dhaka and came back to Joypurhat at Sunday Morning. I received my cycle from the office of Ratan Bhai at 9:15 AM. Then I went to meet Mr. Mansoor. I gave some time to talk to him and start for next district at 10 AM. I start towards the road of Khanjanpur mission. Within half an hour I reached in front of the mission and take a picture. Soon I enter at the Naogaon District by Badalgachi Upazila. |
