It was a dark night and Rana told me that he will cycle in front of me. When the road gets rough and I was following him from a safe distance. But when the road was better we were paddling very close. We stopped at few places to get some direction and snacks. It was nearly 9 o'clock when we reached at circuit house. Circuit house of this district was facing back towards the main entrance and it was a loadsheding (Failure of electricity) there. So, it took a lot of my time to identify from the main road that it was the circuit house. When I met the staffs of the circuit house, they checked our papers and talked to NDC with lots of enthusiasm. Meanwhile I phoned Dilip to know their status and he told me that they are going to stay in his friend's house and already they have taken their supper. He also added that his friends house is only 5 kilometers away from the circuit house and we can also stay in that house if there will be any problem at circuit house. We were nearly exhausted and when the staffs of the circuit house told me that NDC has permitted a room I was very much released. I took a shower after entering the room and lay on bed while Rana took his shower. Then we came down and left circuit house in search for a restaurant. We walked here and there and finally got a small hotel to eat. There was a Hindu Temple nearby and from the sounds of various instruments I guess it was a festival tie of them. We finished supper very fast and both agreed to walk a bit more as we had some energy and feeling fresh. After walking for half an hour we came back to our room and hop on to the bed. At morning we went to that restaurant of last night and took our breakfast. Then we went back to the circuit house and took some photograph. Also we had some nice conversation with the staffs. Soon we said goodbye to them to meet Angela and Dilip at DC office. We arrived at DC office at first and waited for them. Soon they arrived and we went upstairs to meet the DC. He was very busy and agreed to give us a few minutes. I told him our purpose and he asked his CA to prepare a certificate following my instruction. Then we took a sit at guest room for the certificate. Soon his CA handed over that certificate and wished us a safe travel. Angela was excited as today we have finished 24 districts within 19 days. Always she wanted to stay ahead of deadline and from the first day of our tour we had fixed a target of one district per day. She trated us soft drink on her account and we photocopied some certificates so that they can cycle in advance. Soon we start again and they used gear to create distance with us. After cycling for a long time we stopped at a shop to buy some pickles. We also stopped at a bridge named "Gabkhan Bridge" to have some photo. After leaving the Gabkhan bridge we cycled very fast and soon I met another cyclist on the road. We were cycling closely for a long time. He was very excited when he asked and got our identity. He was cycling as it is a part of his job. He worked for a food company and his duty place was that area. The head office of that company was at "Eastern Plaza" of Dhaka. I gave him some idea how he can also organize a tour of Bangladesh while serving his job. We talked about lot more things. When his destination came we stopped, took a photo and again running with Rana. This time it was a less crowded road we were cycling. So, after a long cycling we stopped at a shop to get some direction as we had confusions if we were lost or not. We buy some biscuits and fruits and them with some local peoples. We used our map and took some direction from them. Rana took a photo of mine and soon we left that place again. After few time we reached to a Kheyaghat. It was a lonely Ghat (A smaller station of Boats or Launches to croos rivers) and there was no passengers as saw a lauch leaving the ghat before we reached there. So we took our lunch at only shop cum restaurant cum waiting room of that ghat. After eating we watched "SISIMPUR" (A Bangladeshi Version of the world famous children show "Seasame Street") on TV. After a long time we talked to the owner about how we should cross the river. He advised us to reserve a boat as the lauch would cheaper but it might be late for any reason. So, we reserved a boat to cross the river. |
