Reaching at the Manpura Mour of Nachole Upazila I took a pic at 5:15 PM. The road over here was too much lonely and rural. Very few numbers of vehicle I saw on this road. After an hour I reached the BRAC office of Nachole and took a pic in front of it. Here I also took some snacks and some guidance about the roads as the sun was setting. Then I reached at the "Tin Rastar Mour" of Aamnura and took the right turn from there. After crossing a crossing a rail line I understood from a milestone that I have cycled 41 KM from Neamatpur and Chapainawabganj is still 16 KM away. From Manda Bridge the Neamatpur was 19 KM. So, if I could cycle till the town of Chapainawabganj I will be crossing more than 100 KM today. Another day with Century. Yes, I felt myself very tired but still hanging on to reach the town. At 9:15 PM I took a little rest at a place 6 or 7 KM away from the town. After starting again soon I saw a BDR camp and took some guidance about the roads from them. After 9:45 PM I reached the circuit house. The staffs of the circuit house were astonished to hear about my cycling, motivs and targets. They asked me to take rest and checked the papers. Later they phoned to their NDC and asked permission to arrange a room for me. I had to say nothing with the NDC. They described me as best as possible to him and NDC permit them to open a room. I left my luggage at the room and went outside. I phone to Dhaka and to Mr. Dilu (District Representative of Prothom Alo). He told me that he will meet me at circuit house next morning. Then I went to the press club but it was closed. So, I enter at a restaurant to have my supper and came back to the circuit house. Upon returning I find myself too tired but for some reason there was no sleep in my eyes. So, I record the diary and before sleeping sat in front of the room for a long time and watched the dark night. Or was I trying towatch my future? I woke up at 6 o'clock and took a shower first. Then I prepare myself and prepare a press release slowly. I thought Dilu Bhai (reporter) might come at 9 o'clock. So, after waiting till 9 AM I left the circuit house at 9:15 for DC office. Before leaving the circuit house I gave them my cell number to knock me if DIlu Bhai comes. Then I met NDC at the DC office. He told me that there is only one person performing the duty of DC and ADC (General). As there is a meeting of all DC's at Dhaka he left the district and ADC (Revenue) is performing his duty as well as covering those two posts. So, when I met him he asked me to wait for some moments. Suddenly he went outside to attend an urgent call. So, I took the letter of this office signed by NDC and asked him to phone the NDC of Rajshahi District. He told me that he will phone to him and by this time Dilu Bhai phoned me. He was waitingat the circuit house with his wife. I came back to circuit house and met him. We chat while taking tea. We chat about lots of things. He told me that he is feeling jealous of me as touring with cycle is also one of his dream at his young age. He asked permission to ride on my bike. I took picture of him when he was cycling. Later he left me and I left the circuit house finally. I went to DC office again and took picture in front of the memorial of 1971. A Traffic Sergent of the district Mr. Quoreshi (As far I can recall) watched me while I took pic. He came close and asked me the reason of photo. He asked me to eat have something from him. I agreed for a light snacks. Then, another Traffic Police, Mr. Zahedul Islam (Again, if I can recall correctly), talked with for a long time. Here, I was also introduced with the District Representative of "Daliy Jugantor", Mr. Masum. He requested me to drop a copy of press release with some of my pic at a shop of New Market beside Press Club. So, I went there and drop them to Mr. Nasim of "Utopia Computer". Here I meet the District Representative of "Bangladesh Today" and also gave him a copy of it. Taking a picture at the new market I went to the rail station. There I took a pic and walk around at the station. I bought few bananas to eat and wao the were tasty & soft as honey. From here I start for Rajshahi from the station after 1:45 PM and within 30 minutes I came to the end of Chapainawabganj District. I stopped my cycle there to take a pic. |
